Encourage your students to enter their original screen projects, including eligible work created through coursework or independent practice. The Festival recognises emerging talent across areas such as directing, acting, cinematography, editing, and animation.
Selected finalists can access Festival experiences including behind-the-scenes industry studio tours, workshops and an Award Ceremony celebrating their achievements.

Free to apply | Emerging factual storytellers aged 15 - 24
Do your students have a community story or an issue they want to explore? Australia Speaks supports selected participants through a six-week journey of training, mentoring and factual storytelling.
Participants develop practical skills in research, interviewing, responsible communication and media production as they turn an idea into a completed project. It is an opportunity to build creative confidence, strengthen media literacy and develop portfolio work.

The Australia Youth Film Festival (AUYFF), a Pedestal initiative, invites educators across high schools, universities, and TAFEs to help students discover opportunities beyond the classroom.
