From Mitchell Netes

At her grandfathers funeral, Jordan has a shocking realization during her father’s eulogy speech and decides to confront him.

Hi! My name is Mitchell Netes, I'm now in my 3rd year of my Bachelor of Film & Television over at Swinburne and I directed the shortlisted film 'Print-Friendly'. This passion project is beyond close to my heart and I am so proud that we were able to make it. I grew up in extremely difficult living circumstances, with the short's narrative actually being based on some of my personal family trauma, and so getting to share this story has been such landmark experience for me and my journey.

What inspired you and your work?

Being completely based on real events and trauma from personal life, my film 'Print-Friendly' aims to give perspective and a voice to young people who are forced to self-disown from emotionally immature families for the sake of their wellbeing. It's a message that is incredibly close to my heart and one that I rarely see discussed in film, TV, or even general day-to-day life. While there are many Hollywood filmmakers I was inspired by, I was most inspired by the amazing crew I had formed to make this film; despite the subject matter being so personal and specific, they all brought so much love, sensitivity and creativity to the project that I could never have dreamed of.
