Here and There
From Kora Lee
Here and There explores a girl’s journey of adapting to a new country, struggling with loneliness, homesickness, and language barriers. An unexpected connection makes her realise that even in the most unfamiliar places, she is never truly alone.
Hi, I'm Kora! I'm an animator and game developer focused on storytelling, creative mechanics, and immersive experiences. I work across creative and technical disciplines, which helps me collaborate effectively with people from very different backgrounds and bring cohesive ideas to life. I'm always pushing my own limits, exploring technologies like VR, AR, and motion interaction to find new ways to connect players to a story.
My animated short ""Here and There"" and my VR game ""Infinite Bloom"" have shown at festivals and showcases worldwide. If you're passionate about pushing the creative boundaries of animation and interactive experiences, let's connect!
What inspired you and your work?
As an animator, I have always been captivated by how personal journeys of growth and change shape our identities. "Here and There" is a reflection of my own journey, and it serves as a universal space for those navigating the challenges of starting over and seeking belonging. Through the eyes of a young girl in a foreign land, I hope to evoke emotional resonance that offers comfort to anyone facing similar struggles. Even in the moments of isolation and uncertainty, you are never truly alone. It is a story of gradual adaptation, bravery, and the quiet strength that comes with embracing a new life, wherever it may lead.
